John Fluery is the Program Director at K-BAY 106 and
enjoys playing 'games' with his listeners. He
will choose a theme for his afternoon drive show,
"Open Country," that might feature a birthday
tribute to a country music star, or feature songs
about cities and states, rainy day songs, honky tonk
songs, or feature songs about hearts, money, or
animals, but always featuring listeners' requests.
For over two decades, John has been involved in
commercial radio as an announcer, sports director,
news director, and program director and currently
serves as production manager and music director for
the station.
Born and raised in royal Oak, Michigan, John has
become a Southerner for life and loves the
ever-growing Kings Bay area of Georgia. John
enjoys golf, video games, crossword puzzles, and
playing his guitar. He also stays involved
with various community activities. John lives
with his wife Pat, and has two step-children, both
now adults living in Southeast Georgia.
"Open Country" with John Fluery is heard weekday
afternoons from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
