The mission statement of Radio Kings Bay, Incorporated, licensee of WKBX (FM), is "Your Radio Station."

We believe the "Your Radio Station" means:

• Focusing all our programming energies (music, news, public affairs, etceteras) on serving our Kings Bay area audience and to become a vital part of, and partner with, our local daily life.

• Being easy for our advertisers to do business with as individuals. Understanding our clients so well that we can identify with their feelings about their product or service and to develop a strong, personalized consultative relationship with our advertisers.

• Providing a stimulating and rewarding working atmosphere for our management and staff so as to inspire pride in their accomplishments and in the station's continued growth and success.

Our Your Radio Station" mission statement has helped K-BAY 106 establish a unique and personal presence in the Kings Bay area. It has contributed most certainly to the position of respect and leadership that this station commands today.

Over the years, WKBX (FM) has been the recipient of numerous local and state awards and citations for excellence in programming and public service initiatives. In 1989, K-BAY 106 was recognized by the State of Georgia Tourism Board as its "Radio Station of the Year." K-BAY 106 is also a three-time winner of the "Radio Station of the Year" (Small Market) award bestowed by the Georgia Association of Broadcasters. But more important than any award or recognition, the "Your Radio Station" mission statement challenges all of us who work here at K-BAY 106 to prove again and again that this philosophy works for everyone's benefit: our management and staff, our advertising clients, and our many audience friends and neighbors in the dynamic Kings Bay region.
