The News Room is where the station's full time News Director writes and assembles local news, weather, sports, and other community interest stories for broadcast. K-BAY 106 NEWS is heard eight times daily and are Camden County's most authoritative, timely, and concise radio newscasts.
A typical day finds the News Director at the station as early as 4:30 a.m., which included a stop at the County 911 Center to review law enforcement incident reports over the past 24 to 72 hours. In addition and utilizing a compact portable tape recorder, the News Director will cover special news-worthy events in our community that occur both during the day but also at night such as regularly scheduled city council, county commission, and board of education meetings. Because of these various news coverage demands, the News Director's work schedule can be very demanding indeed.
