Randy
Horn was born and raised in Jacksonville,
Florida. At the age of ten Randy and a
friend wrote and performed a comedy magic
act for their elementary school talent show.
That was when Randy decided that he was
going to entertain people for a living.
In high school Randy studied drama and
speech, and was an active member of the high
school chorus and the "Thespians" drama
club. Upon graduation, he received a trophy
honoring him as the schools best actor and
was voted by the senior class as its most
talented member.
After graduation Randy enrolled in the
Columbia School of Broadcasting.
Within a year Randy took his first full time
radio job in Starke, Florida. Four
years later while Randy was employed as the
midday air personality on WQIK in
Jacksonville, he auditioned for a traveling
dinner/night club show and was offered a
spot on the show 6 months later. For
over five years Randy traveled with various
variety shows as the featured 'stand-up"
comedian, touring 44 states and parts of
Canada and Mexico. While in Los
Angeles, Randy appeared as a featured
comedian with Artie Johnson in a HBO TV
Comedy Special telecast nationwide.
Randy has written, produced and appeared
in hundreds of TV and radio commercials and
numerous theatrical productions including
the lead roles in the three act musical "The
Stingist Man In Town" Christmas story where
he played "Old Scrooge", and the two act
musical "Your A Good Man Charlie Brown",
where Randy was featured as "Snoopy", the
talking dog member of the "Peanuts" gang.
In 1983 Randy came back to the south to
resume his radio career. Randy calls Camden
County Georgia "home" now, and really enjoys
spending quality time with his wife Linda,
daughter Jessica and stepson Tim; Oh, and of
course the family cats, Smokey, Taco and
Piglet. Randy's hobbies include
working in the yard, fixing things, riding
his motorcycle, and an occasional strum on
his twelve string guitar.
Randy enjoys being a part of the
listeners morning wake-up routine with
Brandy on "Country Chaos", weekdays and
meeting them on weekends live at broadcast
events on his favorite radio station...
K-BAY 106.
