WKBX (FM) Ratings Research

WKBX (FM) primarily service area is Camden County, Georgia. But because of our close proximity to Duval County, Florida, the Arbitron Company includes this Georgia county as part of the Jacksonville, Florida Metro ADI. This is clearly in deference to its major Jacksonville radio station subscribers whose aural signals reach beyond the state line. During Arbitron's quarterly sweep periods, a handful of diaries are distributed within Camden County (<1% of total county population) and since our aural signal does not significantly penetrate into Duval County, K-BAY 106 does not make the required 1% minimum in-tab criteria to be listed in the Jacksonville Metro ADI Quarterly books.

Turning to Arbitron's County Coverage Reports, WKBX (FM) is a rated non-metro station in Camden County, Georgia, and Nassau County, Florida. Unfortunately, WKBX (FM) is not an Arbitron Country Coverage Report subscriber as the cost is simply too prohibitive for a small market station such as ours. However it may simply be said that when it comes to reaching the modern country music audience in Camden County, our AQH share (Mon-Fri, 6A-7P) and cume rating out-distances its closest format competition from Jacksonville or Brunswick by over 400%. In short, while signals from other radio stations in Brunswick, Jacksonville, and elsewhere reach into our primary service area, our positioning as Camden County's only full service FM station and our commitment to localism (news, sports, weather, hometown on-air personalities, etc.) attracts and keeps the majority share of Camden County radio listeners.
